About this program
The Master of Arts at Deakin University is a research degree in which students undertake supervised research and contribute to their chosen discipline in the arts. Students immerse themselves in a topic while developing research and analytical skills to apply in professional life, completing a thesis of 40,000 to 50,000 words that embodies the results of their research. Students may instead submit a thesis comprising creative works and a shorter exegesis. Research is conducted under the supervision of a panel.
