- Semester 1A dual degree with the University of Portsmouth, UK, totalling 420 credit points over 3.5 years: two years at ECU, Year 3 at Portsmouth, and a final semester back at ECU, graduating with both a Bachelor of Global Media and Communication from ECU and a BA (Hons) Global Communications and Media from Portsmouth. Year 1: Communication Campaigns, Fundamentals of Journalism, Radio and Podcast Production, Introduction to Screen Practice
- Semester 1Media Content Strategy, Media Law and Ethics, Introduction to Studio Production, Post-production Style and Techniques (Semester 2). Year 2: Introduction to Radio Newsroom, Principles of Inclusive Communication, plus electives
- Global Communication, Strategic Social Media, plus electives (Semester 2). Year 3: studied at Portsmouth, with specialisations in Media and Journalism or Screen, Media and Culture. Year 4: a capstone unit chosen from Radio Newsroom, Production House: Industry Projects, or Communication Agency, plus electives. Total: 3.5 years full time, at City Campus and Portsmouth, UK
Admissions
All applicants must meet the academic admission requirements for this course. The indicative or guaranteed ATAR is as published where applicable, or academic admission requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following: AQF Certificate IV, 0.25 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider or equivalent, an Undergraduate Certificate, the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test, a University Preparation Course, the Indigenous University Orientation Course, or the Experience Based Entry Scheme. For international students, requirements include secondary school results.
