- 240credit points of core units plus 120 credit points of electives. Year 1: Radio and Podcast Production, Fundamentals of Journalism, two electives (Semester 1)
- Semester 1Journalism, TV and Streaming, Media Law and Ethics, News Features, an elective (Semester 2). Year 2: Storytelling and Social Media Influence, Introduction to Radio Newsroom, Digital Content Creation, an elective
- Semester 1Sport and Entertainment Reporting, Newsroom Editing and Publishing, an elective (Semester 2). Year 3: Radio Newsroom, two electives
- Investigative and Data Journalism, TV Newsroom, an elective (Semester 2). Elective sequences available in Photography and Communication. Total: 3 years full time or part time equivalent, at City Campus
Admissions
All applicants must meet the academic admission requirements for this course. The indicative or guaranteed ATAR is as published where applicable, or academic admission requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following: AQF Certificate IV, 0.25 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider or equivalent, an Undergraduate Certificate, the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test, a University Preparation Course, the Indigenous University Orientation Course, or the Experience Based Entry Scheme. For international students, requirements include secondary school results.
