  • assessed by thesis or creative work with exegesis and an oral examination. Students continue re-enrolling in a discipline-specific thesis unit

  • until the thesis is submitted. A project may be completed in as little as three years

Admissions

A Masters Degree (Research), a Bachelor Honours Degree at First or Upper Second class, or demonstrated capacity to undertake original PhD level research. Applicants entering with a Masters qualification other than a Master by Research must also have the equivalent of 6 months full time research experience including project conception, design, and analysis and interpretation of findings. Applicants seeking online study must provide additional supporting information, as not all projects or disciplines suit online study. Special entry to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) may require an audition or interview.
