- Semester 1 of Year 1 covers Research Preparation: Principles and Approaches and a Medical and Health Research Proposal. Semester 2 covers Medical and Health Research Project Initiation plus one further unit chosen from options such as Communicable Disease
- Diversity Culture and Health
- Public Health Planning and Evaluation
- Clinical Bioinformatics
- Public Health Strategies
- Molecular Biology and Genomics
- Biostatistics
- Evidence-Based Practice
- or Epidemiology. From Year 2
- students are enrolled in the Master of Science Thesis unit until submission for examination. Total: up to 2 years full time equivalent
Admissions
Applicants need a bachelor's degree in a relevant science area, such as Medicine, Medical Science, Biomedical Science, Health Science, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Speech Pathology, Paramedicine, Physiotherapy, or Exercise and Sports Science, with a course Weighted Average Mark of 65 or higher. Academic admission requirements (Band 8) may be satisfied through completion of one of the following: a bachelor degree in a cognate discipline, or, where accepted, equivalent prior learning including at least five years of relevant professional experience.
