Course structure
- A thesis-only higher degree by research: candidates undertake a supervised
- original research project within Geography and Population Studies
- culminating in a thesis submitted for examination. Flinders also allows admission on the basis of prior published work for candidates who completed a qualifying award at least three years earlier and have since been substantially engaged in the discipline. There is no coursework component
Admissions
Applicants must normally hold at least one of: a Bachelor's degree with First or Second Class Honours in a relevant field, a Doctor of Medicine with a GPA of at least 5, a Graduate Diploma or coursework Master's degree with a research component of at least 18 units and an average GPA of at least 6 in that component, or a Master's degree by research. Applicants must also satisfy the University that they can reasonably complete the degree within the maximum candidature duration.
