About this program
Griffith University's Bachelor of Cinematic Arts (Honours) degree. This Honours program provides a fourth year of study for students who have completed a bachelor¿s degree in a relevant field such as game design and production, animation, or film. This is a research-led program for students passionate about advancing their discipline and exploring the limits and intersections of narrative art, cinematic storytelling, and interactive digital media. Offering an intensive study of the theoretical, technical, and creative aspects of the cinematic arts, it delivers a strong emphasis on developing a comprehensive understanding of applied research methods and practices. Working independently and/or collaboratively, you will have the opportunity to concentrate on a specialisation within the rapidly evolving and converging fields of animation, film/screen media, and game design. Engage in research, critical analysis, and practical experimentation culminating in an original research project. Synthesising your learning into a meaningful contribution to the cinematic arts, this Honours program creates a pathway for you to move into research and higher degree studies.
