About this program
The Master of Cyber Security is Holmes Institute's 2 year, full time, TEQSA accredited postgraduate degree at its Melbourne campus, combining technical skills (network security, cyber forensics, cloud security) with the management and governance side of the field so graduates can both design secure systems and lead security strategy inside an organisation. Holmes runs two entry paths through the same course, a 12 unit non cognate structure for applicants with no prior computing study and a 10 core plus 2 elective cognate structure for applicants who have already studied computing.
Graduates typically move into roles such as cybersecurity analyst, IT security specialist, risk and compliance analyst, cyber forensics investigator or incident response manager, with progression toward CISO, cybersecurity policy advisor or senior security architect roles.
