About this program
The Bachelor of Criminology at La Trobe University helps students understand crime in its broader social context and how responses are shaped by gender, race, power and money. Students address real-world problems while building a deeper understanding of issues such as family violence, international crime, youth justice, imprisonment and deaths in custody. The degree investigates the complex causes of crime, principles of crime prevention and policy, and the role of courts, police and prisons, and teaches students to critically analyse the Australian legal system.
