About this program
The Bachelor of Media and Communication at La Trobe University lets students tell stories across any medium and graduate with a portfolio of work, industry experience and specialised media knowledge. Students choose a first major in creative and professional writing, journalism, sports media or marketing, then tailor the degree with a second major, minor or electives. Hands-on production and broadcast experience comes through the industry-grade Upstart newsroom, which includes a three-camera television studio, professional radio broadcast spaces and audio and editing suites, alongside work-based learning with industry partners. Graduates work in news and media, sport, health and politics.
