About this program
The Diploma of Information Technology at La Trobe University is a supported pathway into an IT degree or an entry-level role in the industry. Students build a strong foundation in core IT subjects such as programming and cybersecurity, studying alongside Bachelor's degree students from day one and getting a taste of university life. Depending on the subjects studied, students can graduate with up to one year of advanced standing, allowing them to transfer directly into the second year of the Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Cybersecurity or Bachelor of Information Technology. Graduates can also pursue entry-level ICT roles such as IT support worker.
