Graduate Diploma of Archaeology

Build specialist skills in contemporary archaeological practice with La Trobe University's Graduate Diploma of Archaeology. In this diploma, you will develop specialist skills in contemporary archaeology through theoretical and hands-on learning. You will study Indigenous Australian archaeology, historic archaeology, field and laboratory skills, artefact analysis, and field techniques including survey and excavation methods. You can also choose electives in areas such as cross-cultural management, project management, historical and archival research, industry placements and more. This course can act as a pathway to the Master of Archaeology. After you graduate, you may be eligible to apply for advanced standing for up to eight subjects.
