Designed and delivered in consultation with industry leaders, our Master's equips you to meet contemporary manufacturing challenges using revolutionary technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics and machine learning. You'll also have the opportunity to experience engineering practice first-hand and build valuable industry connections with the option of an 800-hour work-integrated learning (WIL) program. By completing La Trobe's Master of Manufacturing Engineering, you will: gain an understanding of Australian engineering industry sustainability practices build capabilities in aerospace, defence, industrial automation and robotics, automotive and precision engineering master the design of automated production lines to improve quality and reduce costs hone your skills in computer-aided engineering (CAE) software and tech to improve design, modelling, manufacturing, and control graduate ready to apply for membership of Engineers Australia. The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9 - Masters Degree.

Admissions
240 credit point pathway Successful completion of a non-accredited 4-year bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related discipline. OR Successful completion of a Sydney Accord-accredited 3-year Bachelor of Technology in manufacturing engineering or related discipline. OR Applicants with non-cognate engineering qualifications who also have practical industry experience in manufacturing engineering will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Engineering Department. AND Applicants may be required to attend an interview. Eligibility to be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Department of Engineering. 120 credit point pathway Successful completion of an Australian or a Washington Accord-accredited 4-year Bachelor or Bachelor (Honours) degree in manufacturing engineering. OR Applicants with non-cognate Washington accord engineering qualifications who also have practical industry experience in manufacturing engineering or related field will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Department of Engineering. AND Applicants may be required to attend an interview. Eligibility to be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Department of Engineering.
