About this program

La Trobe's Master of Sport Analytics is a two-year, 240-credit-point degree that applies data, statistics and artificial intelligence to performance and decision-making in sport. Students build foundations in probability, statistics and analytical methods, then apply machine learning, large language models and generative AI to performance analysis, talent identification, injury management and fan engagement, working with industry-standard tools including R, Python and SQL. Entry is a bachelor degree in any discipline, with relevant work experience also considered. IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0. Graduates work as sport analysts, performance analysts, game analysts and data scientists with clubs, sporting bodies and analytics providers.
