About this program
The Bachelor of Science is a broad science degree covering 11 possible majors, from biology and chemistry through to physics, mathematics, astronomy and statistical data science, allowing students to build an in-depth understanding of a chosen scientific domain alongside foundational units that build transferable analytical and communication skills. The course integrates Indigenous knowledge and sustainability considerations into core units, and includes work-integrated learning in collaboration with industry organisations. Two quantitative first-year units are matched to major groupings: FOSE1025 for Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Human Biology, Earth and Environmental Sciences and Physiological Sciences majors, and FOSE1030 for Astronomy, Applied Physics, Mathematics or Statistical Data Science majors.
