About this program
The Master of Media at Macquarie University is a master's degree. The Master of Media and Communications is focused on strategic communications in the 21st century. The foundation year develops critical skills for understanding and analysing the media industries. Additionally, students develop skills in media practices and production including, visual design, podcasting, screen production, public relations strategies, news media production. The second year of the degree applies the skills required to meet the challenges associated with a rapidly shifting professional context that is increasingly focused on data, digital production, distribution, and audience engagement strategies. Students learn from academics active in research and industry and graduate ready to apply their knowledge across relevant professional, government and community settings.
