About this program
The Foundation program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to seek entry into an Australian higher education program. The Foundation program may provide an academic entry pathway to a first year undergraduate degree program. This is a Macquarie University (Sydney) course. The course runs full-time in 0.8 years. Entry is based on: Completion of Year 11 (or equivalent) with a minimum average mark* of 50 International students must be at least 17 years of age at the time of commencement and have a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 11 with an average mark of 50. *Other factors including ATAR and other attempted studies are taken into consideration with the average mark. Achieving the average mark does not guarantee an offer. Only relevant State Board approved academic subjects are included when reviewing your average. For instance, in the New South Wales HSC, only results from Board Developed courses are considered. In addition to the criteria listed above, admission to the Standard Foundation Program articulating to any of the following Bachelor degrees requires evidence of a higher standard of English language proficiency equivalent to the level required for direct entry into the specified Bachelor degree: Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) Bachelor of Education (Primary) Bachelor of Education (Secondary) Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science Bachelor of Laws.
