About this program
The Master of Networking gives students ten core units in networking, security and IT fundamentals, then a choice of specialisation major (Cybersecurity, Cloud Networks, Smart Sensors and Automation, Cryptocurrency, or Project Management) via two additional elective units, or the option to complete the degree without a major for a broader networking/IT skillset. The degree runs a cognate/non-cognate entry structure, with non-cognate applicants (a bachelor's in any discipline other than IT) admitted on the same core but expected to build foundational IT knowledge through the shared MN404/MN405 units.
Final-year students complete a mandatory MN690 Research Methods and Project Management unit followed by an MN692 Capstone Project. Offered from the Sydney and Melbourne campuses across three intakes a year (March, July, November).
