Bachelor of Criminology
Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Criminology is a specialist three-year degree in the study of crime and social control, examining how crime is defined, what causes it, and how societies respond through policy, policing, courts and corrections. Students learn to identify credible evidence, measure and analyse the impact of policy, and develop solutions to real problems of crime and justice, exploring local, national and global dimensions. It is taught on campus and can be combined with related fields such as policing or information technology in a double degree. Graduates work in policy and research, crime prevention and community safety, corrections and youth justice, courts and legal support, intelligence and data analysis, and roles across government and non-government agencies.
