Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science Advanced (Honours)

Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

About this program

Monash's Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science Advanced (Honours) is a four-year advanced version of the standard three-year Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science, aimed at high-achieving students who plan to pursue honours study and a genuine research career in pharmaceutical science from the start. Students train with the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, one of the country's largest pharmaceutical research groups, using industry-standard chromatography, mass spectrometry, confocal and cryo-EM facilities well beyond what a standard undergraduate lab typically offers. To progress into the honours fourth year, students must complete the first three years with at least a distinction average; those who don't meet that bar exit with the standard Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science instead. Very high-achieving students can also access Monash's scholars program, with networking events, faculty seminars and a dean's scholarship for domestic students. It suits students confident in their ability to sustain distinction-level results who want genuine research training built into their pharmaceutical science degree from day one.
