About this program
Monash's Bachelor of Science Advanced (Global Challenges) includes everything in the standard Bachelor of Science plus formal leadership training, persuasive communication skills, and hands-on practice turning an idea into a business or social enterprise, built around an in-depth exploration of the major challenges facing the world today. In the final year, students partner with an external organisation to tackle a real-world problem, and a domestic or international internship gives students genuine workplace experience before graduation. 1 term of coursework
- The course is structured in four parts: Part A. Science specified study (78 points), Part B. Science listed major (48 points), Part C. Free elective study (18 points) undertaken in the first three years, and Part D. Impact through science project (48 points) in the final year. This includes a minimum of 78 points of science listed study over Part A and Part B. Note 1: Unit selection: In choosing your 126 points of science listed study over Part A and Part B, you must ensure that you complete 42 credit points at Level 1 and 72 credit points at Levels 2 and 3, with a minimum of 30 credit points at Level 3. You must also ensure that across the whole course, you complete no more than 60 points at Level 1.
