About this program
Monash's Graduate Certificate of Public Policy gives professionals foundational knowledge and practical skills for careers in policy making, governance and public sector management, built around the critical thinking, evaluation and research skills that modern policy work demands. The four-unit course develops the ability to communicate policy issues clearly to both professional and non-professional audiences, recognising that translating complex policy analysis for the public and for decision-makers is a core skill in itself. It suits public servants, NGO staff and other professionals moving into policy-focused roles who want a formal, fast credential, as well as people testing the field before committing to the full Master of Public Policy. As a short certificate, it works best as either a targeted professional development credential or a foundation for further postgraduate policy study at Monash.

Admissions
An Australian bachelor degree with at least pass (50%) average (or equivalent), or a minimum of three years work experience in a relevant field*.
