Master of Cultural and Creative Industries

Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

About this program

Monash's Master of Cultural and Creative Industries examines the trends and challenges facing creative practitioners, cultural managers, entrepreneurs and policymakers, drawing on Monash academics across cultural management, cultural policy, film and media studies, and cultural economics. Being based in Melbourne, Australia's cultural hub, gives the course access to genuine industry internships and field trips rather than studying the creative sector purely from the classroom. Graduates have gone on to roles including business development manager, public relations manager, social media content creator, events project manager, arts administrator and community engagement officer, reflecting the genuinely broad range of careers the cultural and creative sector actually offers. It suits graduates with an arts, media, communications or business background who want to move specifically into cultural sector management or creative industry leadership roles, rather than a purely academic qualification in cultural studies.
