Master of Industrial Chemical Engineering

Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

About this program

Monash's Master of Industrial Chemical Engineering responds to demand for chemical engineers with broad awareness of newer technological advances including biological processing, food processing and advanced membrane technologies, alongside a core sequence in data analysis, process modelling and optimisation, and reaction engineering. The course deliberately combines newer processing technology with computational and statistical analysis skills, aiming to give graduates tools relevant to both traditional and emerging areas of chemical engineering practice. It suits chemical engineering graduates who want deeper specialist skills in evaluating and solving complex industrial chemical engineering problems, particularly those interested in newer, more energy-efficient processing technologies rather than only traditional chemical plant design, and the course's international perspective reflects genuine industry demand for chemical engineers who can work across evolving technology standards.
