About this program
This six-month graduate certificate builds advanced understanding of Indonesian or Japanese through an immersive learning experience at a partner university in Indonesia or Japan, or a mix of overseas and on-campus study. Students can complement the language study with subjects in literature, media, religion, history, politics, economics, sociology or anthropology relevant to Japan or Indonesia, building both regional expertise and personal networks in the community. This course is delivered by Murdoch University in Western Australia.

Admissions
AQF Level 7 (Bachelors) degree. Applicants must demonstrate independent user proficiency in the relevant language, sufficient to understand and produce spoken and written texts on general topics and to participate in sustained conversations with appropriate grammatical accuracy (subject to approval by the Academic Chair). All applicants will be required to participate in an interview (conducted in the target language) to assess language proficiency, communicative competence, and readiness for advanced postgraduate study prior to admission.
