About this program

A postgraduate degree that trains people to create, deliver and manage decarbonisation strategies, built with industry and taught by working decarbonisation professionals. Study covers greenhouse gas measurement and reporting across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, lifecycle assessment, carbon footprinting standards, decarbonisation strategy and economic analysis, the generation and use of carbon offsets, and national and global pathways to net zero by 2050. It sits within Murdoch's long-running energy studies program, which also runs the Master of Renewable and Sustainable Energy, and an Advanced version of the degree is available. Graduates work in carbon and sustainability management, emissions reporting and energy transition roles across business, consulting and government.
