Master of Environmental Science
Murdoch University, Perth, WA, Australia
About this program
A one-year master's built for people who already hold a graduate certificate or diploma in environmental assessment, management or science, taking that foundation into advanced research methods, 21st-century environmental policy, climate change adaptation for ecosystems and societies, and systems-dynamics modelling.
Field learning uses Murdoch's on-campus conservation wetlands and banksia woodland along with national and international field trips, and every student completes a supervised advanced research project with a written report and oral defence. It runs face-to-face or mixed-mode, with some external units still requiring short on-campus attendance. It suits environmental professionals moving into consulting, impact assessment or senior project roles who want a research-capable qualification while continuing to work.
