About this program
QUT Master of Cyber Security runs across three semesters, about 1.5 years full-time. It starts with programming fundamentals and web development with databases, moves to identifying vulnerabilities in computer systems, then advances into cyber security governance, the software development life cycle, human-centred design, computer networks and security, and human factors in cyber security. Work-integrated learning includes a significant industry project or industry research experience. Admissions
2 year program: a recognised bachelor degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline with a minimum GPA of 4.00 (on QUT's 7 point scale). 1.5 year program: a recognised bachelor degree in information technology with a minimum GPA of 4.00, or a bachelor degree in any other discipline with a minimum GPA of 4.00 followed by three full-time years of professional work experience in information technology.
