About this program

The RMIT Bachelor of Accounting builds theoretical and technical accounting knowledge through core studies in accounting and law, developing the skills to analyse and evaluate data and information across the discipline. Students also explore business and future technology, digital literacy, social impact, economics and sustainability, and build an e-portfolio through industry engagement. Graduates work as accountants, auditors, financial analysts and advisers, and can progress toward professional accreditation.

1 term of coursework

  • Year 1 In your first year of study, you will undertake multiple core subjects that form the basis of more specialised accounting knowledge. You will explore decision making in business, financial accounting, economics and quantitative analysis, and more. Year 2 In second year, you will delve deeper into the accounting discipline with studies in accounting data analytics, cost analysis, financial accountability and reporting, taxation, and more. You will also choose elective subjects in accounting and law, or from a range of business minors.
