About this program
The Master of Social Science (Global, Urban and Social Studies) at RMIT University is a research degree that develops advanced research principles, methods and mastery of a body of knowledge in the social sciences through a thesis or research project. Individually supervised programs are available across three areas: the social, the urban and the global. RMIT has particular expertise in urban planning and housing studies, sustainability, criminology, globalisation and cultures studies, applied linguistics, translating and interpreting, sociology, international development and relations, community development, social and public policy, and social work.
