Bachelor of 3D Design and Animation
Torrens University Australia, Multi-campus, national, Australia
About this program
The degree runs eight common core subjects, 12 specialisation subjects in 3D design and animation, and four electives over three years, moving from shared design foundations (Design Context, Design Studio 1 to 3, 2D and 3D Asset Creation, Animation Principles) into specialist production units: hard-surface and environment modelling, procedural geometry, character animation, lighting and look development, and real-time animation production.
A 300-hour Work Integrated Learning subject and a two-part Major Project/Portfolio sequence sit in the final year, alongside a Social Enterprise subject that frames the design work in an entrepreneurial context. Electives draw from adjacent design programs including motion graphics, illustration, live-action production and game production.
Delivered on campus at Sydney and online, 3 years full time or up to 6 years part time.
