About this program
The Professional Doctorate (Research) embeds research training through coursework and reflective practice, aimed at experienced professionals who want to interrogate workplace problems at an advanced level and produce work-based research outcomes rather than a purely academic thesis. Students collaborate with industry, government and community partners on applied research questions.
Direct entry requires either a relevant Bachelor's degree with a distinction average, a relevant Honours degree, or a relevant Master's degree by coursework with a credit average, combined with seven years' practice at an advanced level (or five years at executive level) in the chosen profession; applicants without a Master's may pathway in via recognition of prior learning based on extended professional experience.
Delivered on campus at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide and online, 3 years full time or 6 years part time.
