Master of Business Informatics
University of Canberra, Canberra, ACT, Australia
About this program
A two-year, 48 credit point conversion master's that sits across business and information technology, for graduates from any field: no prior IT or business informatics study is assumed. The core covers systems analysis, IT security, aligning technology with business needs and a capstone research project, and students choose one focus from no specialisation, Cybersecurity, Data Science or Project Management. Applicants with relevant work experience can enter through the Professional Pathway. The qualification is recognised by the Australian Computer Society at Professional level, which supports ICT career mobility including overseas. Graduates work as business analysts, IT security analysts, data scientists, systems architects and IT project managers. It suits career changers and recent graduates who want a technology qualification that stays connected to how organisations actually use IT, rather than a pure computer science degree.
