About this program
A two-year graduate-entry master's (48 credit points) with a network engineering focus, covering the design, development and operation of networking systems. Entry requires a four-year engineering degree, a three-year Engineers Australia accredited technologist degree, or a UC degree in IT, software engineering or a relevant science major, with assumed knowledge in ICT and basic programming.
The course includes 450 hours of work-integrated learning and a two-part capstone that delivers a real engineering solution for a business, government or community client. UC states it will pursue accreditation with Engineers Australia at professional engineer level and with the Australian Computer Society, so applicants should confirm the current accreditation status before enrolling. It suits engineering and computing graduates moving into network engineering, ICT security engineering, IoT or IT project roles.

Admissions
A 4 year Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent, or a 3 year bachelor degree accredited by Engineers Australia at Technologist level or equivalent. Or, graduates from the following University of Canberra degrees: Bachelor of Information Technology, 322AA; or Bachelor of Software Engineering, 560AA; or Bachelor of Science, 392AB with Major in Software Engineering or Network Engineering.
