About this program
A short enabling pathway for people who have recently finished Year 12 in Australia or completed a Certificate III but do not quite meet the entry requirements for their preferred University of Canberra degree. It runs about 16 teaching weeks (18 weeks including exams and a break) at roughly nine hours a week, building academic writing, research and study skills. Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported enabling place, meaning the government covers the program fee. On successful completion, students gain a pathway into a UC undergraduate degree. It suits recent school leavers who just missed direct entry.
