About this program
The Master of Theological Studies enables students to apply an advanced body of knowledge in theology and its associated disciplines, broadening and deepening their engagement with select areas of study to prepare for professional practice and further learning. It is one of the most widely delivered postgraduate awards in the consortium, offered by all 12 University of Divinity member colleges.

Course structure
1 term of coursework
- The award consists of 288 points (12 standard postgraduate units): 72 points of postgraduate foundational units from at least three Fields
- 120points of postgraduate elective units in more than one Field
- 48 pointsand either a capstone unit of at least 24 points or RQ9748M Minor Thesis
- with any remaining points made up of further postgraduate units in any discipline. Standard full-time duration is 2 years (up to 6 years part-time). Graduates who complete a Minor Thesis to a specified standard may be eligible for admission to higher degrees by research
Admissions
Admission requires successful completion of an undergraduate degree. Up to 144 points of credit may be granted, including 48 points for the Certificate of Religious Education of the Catholic Diocese of Sale, per the University's Credit Policy.
