University of Melbourne, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
The Master of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne is a 3-year master's degree. Biomedical engineering works at the intersection of engineering and biology, to understand and solve problems in medicine and human disease. Biomedical engineers blend biomedical science with engineering techniques to create innovative healthcare solutions. Once students've started studying, students can follow the ‘Business' specialisation or continue without specialising. Students be guided by academics who have worked on ground-breaking innovations in medical bionics, human movement, prosthetics and tissue engineering. Some of these breakthroughs include: the bionic eye, implants to help control epilepsy. Students learn from academics engaged in research and industry, with opportunities for applied projects and industry connection, and graduate ready for professional practice or further study.
