About this program
The Master of Design and Production at the University of Melbourne prepares students for contemporary design and production roles across stage, screen or graphic design, honing craft skills and encouraging experimentation and collaboration. Students complete a 200 credit point program over 24 months full-time, including eight core subjects and specialisation subjects in Stage Design, Production Design for Screen, or Graphic Design.

Admissions
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) or equivalent in a cognate (relevant) discipline. Cognate (relevant) disciplines include: Production Design, Design, Creative Arts, Live Production, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, Film and/or Media Studies, Theatre Studies, Environmental Design, Architecture. Please note this is not a complete list of possible disciplines. Relevance is always assessed on a case-by-case basis. Or Have six years of documented relevant experience Relevant experience may include: Design for live performance, film industry experience, graphic design, communications design, architecture.
