About this program
The Master of International Relations engages with international relations theory, international governance and law, international security, international political economy and international history, and how actors such as the United States, China, the European Union and the United Nations operate. Students can focus on the Asia-Pacific, Europe or the Middle East with regional specialists, study a language, take part in exchange, and apply their learning through an optional internship in international organisations, government, business, media or non-government organisations. It is taught on campus at Parkville with March and July intakes over two years full time, with shorter options for applicants who hold relevant prior qualifications. Graduates work in foreign affairs and diplomacy, international organisations, policy and research, risk analysis, journalism and the not-for-profit sector.
