About this program
The Bachelor of Development Studies at the University of Newcastle provides the opportunity to study the causes and consequences of unequal development, addressing issues such as poverty, inequality, political instability and environmental sustainability. It is the only development studies program in Australia to include economics and Aboriginal studies as core courses, and students focus on key global issues in local, national and international contexts. Graduates work in government, international agencies, non-government organisations and community development.
