About this program

The University of Newcastle Master of Cyber Security offers two specialisations, including a Cyber Security Analyst stream that emphasises the human dimensions of cyber security, cyber crime and the consequences of security breaches. Coursework spans data, system and network security, security attack analysis and mitigation, human factors, and elements of law, psychology and criminology. Students complete a hands-on industry project across two semesters, using industry-leading cyber security labs and taking part in hackathons and real application development in a controlled environment. A Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security is available as a pathway into the masters. International students must meet the University English proficiency requirement.
