About this program

The Bachelor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame Australia teaches students about their faith and how to examine it with academic rigour, drawing on Scripture, Biblical Studies, Doctrinal or Systematic Theology, and Sacramental Theology and Liturgy. Within the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, theology relies on philosophy and philosophy reaches toward what theology offers, and students learn to move between the two disciplines. The degree prepares graduates for Catholic ministry and religious education, academic teaching, youth work and pastoral care.

Admissions

Recent secondary education: Indicative ATAR or Selection Rank of 70, or an International Baccalaureate score of 25. Higher education applicants: successful completion of 4 subjects at undergraduate level or higher, or completion of Notre Dame's Tertiary Pathway Program or an equivalent tertiary preparation program. Vocational education, work and life experience pathways are also considered, alongside the university's standard minimum age and English language requirements.
