About this program
The Bachelor of Advanced Humanities (Honours) at the University of Queensland is a 4-year, research-integrated degree for students who want honours-level training from the start rather than added on in a final year. Early courses build critical thinking and communication skills across humanities disciplines, and study becomes increasingly specialised as students progress toward an honours research project, supported by seminars and close contact with academic mentors. Students stay together as one cohort throughout the degree, including an orientation camp in first year, and can organise a research symposium and complete an internship as part of their studies. Domestic students in the Western Civilisation extended major can access scholarships worth at least $20,000 a year for the first three years.
