Bachelor of Journalism
University of Queensland, Brisbane, QLD, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Journalism is a three-year degree at the St Lucia campus centred on hands-on multimedia production across writing, audio, video, data and digital platforms. The first year examines media, society and contemporary communication while building core reporting and storytelling skills, and later study covers specialist areas such as video journalism, social media communication and international journalism, along with investigating complex issues and creating content for different audiences. Students use industry-standard production facilities, have dedicated media production support, and can access internships with major media organisations. Graduates work in newsrooms, digital publications and broadcast, and in communication-focused roles across corporate, government and not-for-profit organisations.
