About this program
The Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Queensland trains students in multimedia journalism across writing, audio, video and data platforms, with hands-on production support from UQ's dedicated Media Production and Support team from first year. Students start by studying media, society and contemporary communication before moving into specialist areas such as video journalism, social media communication and international journalism, working with industry-standard production facilities throughout. Internships are arranged through UQ's partnerships with major national and international media outlets, giving students real newsroom experience before graduation, and the degree can be combined into a dual program with law.
