About this program
The Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Queensland offers more than 60 mathematics and statistics courses, more than any other university in the state, letting students specialise in areas such as mathematical artificial intelligence, optimisation and operations research, mathematical physics or pure mathematics. The Mathematical Artificial Intelligence major covers machine learning, data science and algorithm development, while Optimisation and Operations Research focuses on solving real logistical and efficiency problems for industry. Students can gain practical, real-world experience through UQ's Summer Industry Experience Program, working on live projects rather than only theoretical coursework.
