About this program
The Graduate Certificate in Biotechnology is a flexible half-year postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus for scientists who want to update their technical skills in areas such as molecular biology, protein technology or bioinformatics, or gain research laboratory experience. It integrates practical scientific training with commercialisation and innovation, with students selecting from more than 25 courses to suit their goals. The program can lead into the Graduate Diploma or Master of Biotechnology. Graduates work across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, agricultural and food industries in research and development, laboratory science, quality and regulatory roles, and technology commercialisation.
