Graduate Certificate In Engineering Science
University of Queensland, Brisbane, QLD, Australia
About this program
UQ's Graduate Certificate in Engineering Science is a half-year program for engineers who already hold an engineering qualification and want to build deeper technical expertise in a specific discipline, such as bioprocess, chemical or civil engineering. The flexible study plan lets students tailor their courses around their existing industry role or career direction rather than following one fixed curriculum. It functions as a shorter, lower-commitment entry point into UQ's engineering postgraduate suite, and students who want to keep studying can typically progress into a related master's degree. It suits practising engineers seeking a formal credential in a new specialisation without committing to a full two-year master's degree upfront, and completion strengthens a professional engineer's technical standing with employers in their chosen field.
