Master of Electrical Engineering (Professional)
University of Queensland, Brisbane, QLD, Australia
About this program
UQ's Master of Electrical Engineering (Professional) is a 2-year, Engineers Australia accredited degree that develops advanced technical and research skills for electrical engineers moving into senior practice. Students complete a 2-semester research project or industry placement, working directly on real engineering problems rather than only classroom exercises, and study courses including advanced computational techniques in engineering and biomedical instrumentation. The program is built around a global perspective on professional engineering practice, preparing graduates to apply current international standards to real-world problems. Because it carries full professional accreditation, it meets Australia's formal requirements for chartered engineer status. Typical graduate roles include electrical engineer, systems engineer, telecommunications engineer and biomedical engineer.
