About this program

The Master of Governance and Public Policy is a postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus that examines how governments and institutions design and implement public policy through a multidisciplinary lens. Early courses analyse how institutions operate and policy is designed; later studies explore contemporary challenges and strategic approaches to governance in national and international contexts, with policy analysis, case studies and applied projects building skills in evaluation, communication and leadership. Graduates work in the public service, policy analysis and evaluation, advocacy, international organisations and government relations.
