About this program
The University of Queensland Master of Information Technology is a two-year program that advances skills in web and software development, information systems and IT research. It combines a core across these areas with design-computing team projects and a capstone research project, plus introductory and advanced electives in computer systems, web information systems, human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, networks and computer security. It is designed as a conversion degree: entry requires a bachelor degree in a field other than information technology, computer science, software or computer engineering, interaction design or multimedia design, with a GPA of at least 5.0 on a 7-point scale, and IELTS 6.5 overall with no sub-band below 6.0. International tuition is about A$48,900 per year. Graduates work in electronic commerce, information systems, technology management, health informatics, geographic information systems and biotechnology.

Admissions
To be eligible for entry, you'll need: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a field other than information technology, computer science, software/computer engineering, interaction design or multimedia design. You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 5.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification. *Please note that if a graduate certificate (or graduate diploma) from the same program suite is used as the basis of entry into the program, you will not be eligible for credit towards the master's program.
