About this program

The University of Queensland Master of Information Technology is a two-year program that advances skills in web and software development, information systems and IT research. It combines a core across these areas with design-computing team projects and a capstone research project, plus introductory and advanced electives in computer systems, web information systems, human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, networks and computer security. It is designed as a conversion degree: entry requires a bachelor degree in a field other than information technology, computer science, software or computer engineering, interaction design or multimedia design, with a GPA of at least 5.0 on a 7-point scale, and IELTS 6.5 overall with no sub-band below 6.0. International tuition is about A$48,900 per year. Graduates work in electronic commerce, information systems, technology management, health informatics, geographic information systems and biotechnology.
